Rehearsals for our new production BEYOND are in full swing! This new creation will premiere in June at the OEROL Festival, followed by a summer tour across various festivals.
February 2024 saw the premiere of Beyond the Edge , the first youth production by circus choreographer Piet Van Dycke and the first circus performance featuring young people for fABULEUS. The show held great potential, and we saw new opportunities for further development.
This led to the creation of BEYOND in 2025, under the wing of Circumstances, with fABULEUS as co-producer. Although the scenography from Beyond the Edge is being partially reused, BEYOND is an entirely new production: new themes, professional performers, and both indoor and outdoor versions. While Beyond the Edge was an ode to horizontality, BEYOND focuses on building bridges—both literally and figuratively. As 'limitless bridge builders,' the performers explore the power of our boundaries and how we can push them by working together.
We are currently halfway through the creation process. The show will premiere in June at Oerol Festival on Terschelling (NL), followed by a summer tour of various festivals. In October, the show will be adapted into an indoor version, after which we will hold the indoor premiere following a technical setup at VITRINE Perplx in Kortrijk (BE). In the 2025-2026 season, the show will tour through Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Spain, Switzerland, and more. More info.

BEYOND had a successful outdoor premiere at the Oerol Festival on Terschelling. We kicked off with the islander opening as a try-out, followed by no fewer than 14 sold-out performances during a radiant edition. It was an intense and unforgettable experience.

In December, the doors of EXIT traveled over 10,000 km and ended up in Hong Kong with our performers for an unforgettable experience: three weeks, twelve shows, special encounters, and a serious case of jet lag.

The jury considers EXIT the most exciting circus performance to be seen in Flanders last season. It is easy to understand why it became such a hit with the general public: as the tempo and music build, you find yourself increasingly on the edge of your seat. Wonder reigns, but it never feels superficial. This work leaves us genuinely curious about what else Van Dycke has in store as an up-and-coming circus maker.
