EXIT location premiere

After two cancelled editions, the Oerol festival has lost none of its appeal. Once again, the Dutch Wadden Island is showing its best side, with site-specific theatre in dunes, forests, and barns (and sheep right next to the stage). On June 10th, we premiered the site-specific version of EXIT at this beautiful festival.

Filip Tielens from De Standaard stopped by: "But it was another circus choreographer, the young Piet Van Dycke from Leuven, who delivered one of the weekend's biggest hits with the first performance by his new company, Circumstances. In Exit, four acrobats play an increasingly fast-paced game of cat and mouse, copying each other's movements and—almost imperceptibly—each other's outfits as they appear and disappear behind doors. The piece cleverly builds to a breathtaking apotheosis, where the central set element spins like a wheel. The performers hoist themselves into the air, slide down the wall, and work together to find a balance that they ultimately achieve. Impressive. The sensation of the weekend."
