Circus dance, music theatre architecture, and global mime. Piet, Timo, and Elias. These are the names of the three new, completely original creators who are enthusiastically starting a three-year PLAN trajectory this spring.

During the PLAN trajectory, Piet will deepen his interdisciplinary choreographic signature. The goal is never the direct fusion of disciplines, but rather the narrative power that emerges from this interaction. Over the coming years, he will explore the load-bearing capacity of the body: how do the most perfect bodies transform? During the PLAN trajectory, he wants to learn to share more in various forms, not only to seek connection within his work but also with the audience. Piet Van Dycke: “That is what I find interesting about circus: what if it fails, what if you take a risk? It only becomes interesting when the juggling ball drops. I think it’s important to reach that zero point, to realize that we are all ‘just human.’ How can I apply the ‘excellence’ of circus in a human way? Circus is not about achieving the impossible, but about challenging the impossible. The search for the limits of equilibrium, gravity, balance, time, and endurance creates a unique dance for me.”
