"Don’t let the 10:30 start fool you"

This August, EXIT made its Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut: 2 weeks – 12 shows at 10:30 am – 63% box office (not bad for a first Fringe!) – 12 standing ovations – 4 performers – 1 arm caught in the wall (ouch, Harrison!) – 12 late-night get-ins – 12 changeovers in under 30 minutes – 2,000 flyers – 11 reviews – 252 coffees – lots of industry professionals – even more lovely reactions from our audiences – 1 very happy team.

Performing EXIT at 10:30 am is no small feat. Sleepy eyes, perhaps, but very full hearts after receiving so many wonderful reactions:

“Absolutely exquisite. What a gorgeous exploration of rhythm, male softness, courage and what it is to move and be as a group. [...] Best circus I've seen all fringe, and maybe one of my favs across the years.”
— Emily
“OUTSTANDING. Creative concept, wonderfully physical performance. [...] This was probably the best performance of our Fringe this year.”
— Thomas
“The set, the choreography and the performances all perfectly combined to showcase the strength and power of male unity and collaboration. A wonderful antidote in a divided world.”
— Debbie Croft

And the cherry on top: EXIT was shortlisted for The List Awards’ Best Dance, Circus & Physical Theatre Show. After Edinburgh, the doors of EXIT are far from closing. Shanghai, New York, Beijing, the Far North… EXIT is staying on the move, and we’re busy mapping out where it might land next. To be continued.
