SHIFT
What if children were given the world to hold?
In SHIFT six children between the ages of eight and twelve take matters into their own hands. They enter a world that initially offers stability, but slowly begins to shift, tilt, and fall apart. What seemed safe becomes unpredictable. Walls move, structures wobble… and suddenly you have to choose: go with the flow or hold your ground?
Using their bodies, imagination, and playfulness, the children take on the challenge. They climb, push, fall, and catch one another. They seek new ways to move forward, together and alone. Not through grand gestures, but through small interventions that have ever-growing consequences.
SHIFT is a whirlwind, hopeful circus and dance performance in which the scenography becomes an active counterpart, constantly forcing the performers into action. What emerges is a physical, exciting, and moving journey where risk, trust, and play take center stage. This isn't some distant future. This is happening now.
Premiere on October 7, 2027, at hetpaleis, Antwerp.
